FAQ - FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

This section was created with the aim of helping visitors to our website. There is a lot of information on the web, sometimes too much, but sometimes people would rather not ask for further information. The same answer, for us “operators,” poses certain difficulties. Just think of the amount of information that could (perhaps should) be given over the phone or at check-in: a lot! The result is that the person asking is overwhelmed with tons of information and perhaps some doubts. You could send an email well in advance of the stay, but often the attachment ends up in spam, is read in many cases when you are already at the property (!), and sometimes there is no time (same-day booking requests). That's why in this section, travelers/readers will find some of the most common questions. So...keep in touch! And enjoy reading...

1. Where are we? Distance from the sea, partner beach, and shuttle service
We're 2.5 km from the sea. Just take Via Vascello and Via Isonzo, and you'll be at the Beach! There are tons of beach clubs and chalets along the seafront, which aren't numbered but have “names”. We have agreements with some of them, and half-board packages INCLUDE THE BEACH (the hotel assigns the beach).
Please note: From June to the end of August, parking is subject to daily, evening, and hourly rates (these vary each year, so we will let you know when you arrive!).
Our property provides a shuttle service (8 seats), extra upon reservation, which takes Guests directly to our Beach Club, with morning and afternoon round trips. Ideal for those who want to park their car and pick it up only in the evening to go out and discover our area!
2. Check In / Check Out
We generally assign rooms from 3 p.m. onwards to allow for proper cleaning and attention and to deal with any issues that may arise. Arriving early and fancy a dip in the pool? No Problem! We'll open the storage room for you to leave your luggage, you can get changed in the bathrooms, and off you go! As soon as your room is ready, we'll contact you so you can check in!
Arriving late? The reception is 24-hour, so don't worry! Just let us know you'll be arriving late!
Check-out is by 10 a.m.
3. TOURIST TAX AND PARKING SUBJECT TO PAYMENT
Parking along the seafront is subject to a charge from June to September, with hourly, daily, and evening rates. However, there are also free parking areas. The tourist tax is €2.00 per person per day from May to September and €1.20 during other periods. For all municipal conditions and regulations, visit www.comune.tortoreto.te.it
4. THE RESORT AND THE ROOMS
The resort is made up of three buildings, at the heart of which lies a panoramic swimming pool with a sun terrace overlooking the hills of Tortoreto and the surrounding vineyards. All rooms feature individually controlled air conditioning, smart room access, and Wi-Fi. Superior Rooms are located directly above the reception area and the main facilities, including the SPA, breakfast room, restaurant, bar and the Mattia Preti conference room. Within this category, guests can choose between rooms with side terraces, sea-view rooms, rooms without a terrace, and Suites. All Superior Rooms feature laminate flooring and are generally more spacious than Standard Rooms. Junior Suites are located in the building overlooking the swimming pool, with direct access to it. They feature two separate internal living areas and can comfortably accommodate up to four guests. Amenities include porcelain tile flooring, a balcony, a walk-in shower, a sofa bed or extra bed, and a wardrobe. Standard Rooms are generally smaller than Superior Rooms and feature porcelain tile flooring and a shower. Some offer a panoramic balcony and overlook the hills of Tortoreto, the swimming pool, or the resort’s park.
5. FRIDGE IN THE ROOM
All rooms are equipped with a minibar. Superior rooms have a minibar stocked with water, while in Junior Suites/Standard rooms, the minibar is stocked upon request and reservation.
6. POOL, SUNBATHING AREA, AND CHILDREN'S AREA
The Pool. Let’s start with what it is not: it is not an Olympic pool, nor a diving or lap pool. It was specifically designed for our Guests’ Relaxation. The pool is set in an elevated position, offering stunning views over the vineyards and the hills of Tortoreto, and is surrounded by centuries-old olive trees. It features a laminar waterfall, a circular whirlpool seating area, and a dedicated children’s section with a depth of 40 cm, while the adult area has a depth of 1.2 metres. Sun umbrellas and loungers are available both around the pool and on the panoramic sun terrace, allowing guests to soak up the sun in complete peace or unwind in the shade, enjoying the colours of the surrounding hills and the gentle sound of cicadas in the background. The pool area also includes a play and leisure zone for both children and adults, with various games such as table tennis, table football, ride-on cars for children and a playground castle. Please note: before entering the pool, guests are required to shower and wear a swimming cap, which is mandatory.
7. PARKING/GARAGE AND BIKE PARKING
The property boasts a large free outdoor parking area, located in a fenced, unattended area. Indoor parking spaces are available at an additional daily cost. Access to indoor parking spaces is automated via a card reader, the same card used for your room (activated by reception). Want to leave your bike in a safe place? Use our garage! Ask us for info and we'll organize everything you need for your bike!
8. Electric Car Charging
We have installed a charging station for electric/plug-in cars, so while you relax in your room or by the pool, your car will be fully charged and ready to hit the road again! We will provide you with costs and details directly at check-in!
9. RESTAURANT AND MEALS
One of the cornerstones of our dining experience is breakfast. Served either indoors or outdoors with panoramic views over the hills of Tortoreto, our buffet breakfast is a true expression of local tradition. Guests can enjoy a wide selection of homemade cakes, tarts and ring cakes, prepared according to traditional recipes, along with assorted and low-sugar jams, chocolate spread, honey, yogurt and milk, fruit juices, crispbreads, cereals and wholegrain cereals, fresh fruit and fruit salad. For those who prefer a savoury breakfast, cold cuts and cheeses are available, as well as bread rolls, bacon, eggs and scrambled eggs.
On request (to be communicated at the time of booking), we also offer egg-free and dairy-free options, as well as gluten-free products.
During the summer season, lunch is served as our Fresh Lunch, with à la carte hot and cold dishes designed for guests who are looking for something tasty yet quick, perfect before heading back to the beach or the pool.
Our “Slow” holiday philosophy truly comes to life at dinner. Special menus and themed evenings aside, dinner begins with an appetiser made from fresh, locally sourced ingredients, inspired by regional and Mediterranean cuisine. This is followed by a choice of first courses (meat, fish or vegetarian), prepared with a variety of carefully selected pasta shapes, a daily choice of main course, a side dish, and fruit or dessert. All dishes are freshly prepared by our in-house kitchen team. Throughout the week, our traditional dinners allow guests to fall in love with the authentic flavours of Abruzzo.
10. FOOD INTOLERANCES AND VEGAN DIETS
Any food intolerances and special diets must be reported upon booking and, if necessary, reiterated upon booking confirmation. This is because, in order to provide good service for both individuals and the community, it must be possible to procure basic products and prepare them in the correct manner and time frame (separation of ingredients, preparation, cooking, and serving, which involve special waiting times and must be considered not only for individual guests but for all diners). The Management reserves the right to take the necessary considerations in the various circumstances that may arise. If any guest follows a diet that requires products that are difficult to find on the market, they may, upon prior notification, provide these products independently to our service staff.
11. EARLY AND LAST-MINUTE/SECOND BOOKINGS
Throughout the year, there are several opportunities to book your vacation in advance, whether short or long. Communication takes place via the website and newsletters (monthly), and guests who subscribe to the news receive these communications in advance. Early booking, under the conditions defined each time, entitles you to a range of discounts on rates, room upgrades, or additional free services (SPA access, beach access, room upgrades, etc.). Unfortunately, you will not find any last minute/second deals. For each booking request, our goal is to create a tailor-made offer for the applicant/future guest (whether a couple or a small or large family), meeting their requests, budget, and possibilities as much as possible. This is why there are no standardized, incomplete last-second offers that conflict with advance bookings. At the time of the request, all staff always offer the best conditions and rates available.
12. INFANTS AND CHILDREN UP TO 2/3 YEARS OLD.
Children, teenagers, and adolescents are welcome, and we're ready to welcome them in the best way possible. Families can have many different needs, depending on each individual case, so please do not hesitate to ask questions or request additional information. Take, for example, the case of an infant who needs to have milk or a bottle warmed up during the day or at night: there are no kettles or electric kettles in the rooms (due to the potential danger), but we can help you with this at reception or at the bar/restaurant. Even if it is at night, our night porter will be glad to help. If, for example, your son or daughter has to follow a special diet or eat “special baby food,” we will be happy to prepare soups, pasta, or broths to accompany what you provide us with, no problem! Just arrange everything with the reception desk or the maître d' in the restaurant!
13. Anthea SPA& Wellness
Anthea is your place for relaxation and wellness! A spacious and comfortable SPA that will make you forget all about stress and chaos! In the dedicated section, you'll find all the information and details about treatments and more. With the “Senza Pensieri” half-board service, you'll have access to the SPA EVERY DAY and a wonderful treatment INCLUDED. Treatments and programs are available for other treatments as extras. Children (under 16) are not allowed.
14. PETS NOT ALLOWED
We all love pets, so because we know how hot it gets here and the restrictions on beaches and public areas, we've decided not to allow them again this year.
We think pets deserve a proper space both indoors and outdoors, and it would be awful to make them suffer. We've got plans to build vacation apartments with gardens by 2027!
They will be ideal for couples and families with pets!
